Job description: 

Acting as a Country Manager, the post is designed for a person able to provide leadership and oversees all strategic actions in growing the business in China, beyond the current footprint.

The activities for the new country manager include:

  • Full responsibility of the achievement of the company targets in term of profit, revenue and quality;
  • Yearly definition with the top management of the company annual budget and of the operational plan;
  • Recruiting and management of the staff, defining their goals and assessing their performance;
  • Producing the monthly and periodical reports as required by the headquarter;
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers;
  • Identify, develop and follow-up new business opportunities.

Since the international group has already a a company in China in a first stage of development it is not necessary to incorporate a new legal entity because the general and administration services will be provided by the existing Chinese company.

The selection process includes a preliminary interview to be held in the second half of September aimed to identify the short list of candidates.

The company name and the contractual conditions will be disclosed in the first interview.

The company will directly conduct the final interviews in Shanghai in the second half of October.

The selected candidate must be able to start no later than the beginning of year 2017.

Education Background: 

The Country manager needs a proven track record of success in developing and managing a sales force, better if in an industry closed to either digital textile printing and/or packaging machinery. Experience in similar industries such as packaging or processing equipment is welcome as well.

The ideal candidate is empathetic and assertive at the same time. He/ she needs to possess excellent communication skills and he/ she is proactive and goal oriented.

Fluency in English and Chinese is mandatory and a good knowledge of Italian is preferable but not necessary. The ideal candidate has a career characterized by two main characteristics: Customer Impact and Results Driven.

The location will be in Shanghai and the package offered is competitive and aligned with the current market situation. In any case the contract will be a Chinese contract and therefore the candidate must be eligible for a working VISA.
