On Wednesday 6th July, the China through the telescope seminar organized by the Galileo Galilei Italian Institute, the Italian centre created by Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna and operating inside the Chongqing University, was held. This event, the fourth and last appointment of this cycle of seminars for this academic year, was located at the Italian restaurant Dcafe’, at the Main Teaching building of Chongqing University. The event was sponsored by the CICC, the Chongqing University and Confindustria Toscana Servizi

The topic of this event was "China's Science and Technology Cooperation Strategy", illustrated by Mr. Sunshine Dong from International Technology Transfer Network (ITTN). After a small introduction, his presentation touched themes such as current situations of technology transfer and cooperation in China, the IPR in the Chinese environment and the relationship between Western and Chinese companies about transferring technology and knowledge.

After the presentation, the other participants of the seminar brought the personal experience they have with their companies, and what they think about the science and technology cooperation in China. Among them, we can mention Luca Borsano from Saic Iveco Hongyan, Yang Shao Bo from Chang'an Motors, Xie Kaiji from Chongqing Center for Green and Intelligent Technology, and many other personalities from the University.

The attendance of several students from Chongqing University has enriched the quality of the seminar itself, trying to connect the University world to the companies' one. Different questions were asked to the participants of the seminar about their opinion about the topic, the difference between the West and China reality and how the current situation can be improved.

At the end of the event the participants have tasted an aperitif with italian products made by DCafe', an occasion to have private talks and create new connections among them.
