CICC Meets with MOFCOM

29 April 2022

Today, April 27th, 2022, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) participated in a roundtable focused on the difficulties that foreign companies are facing due to the current lockdowns in China. Thirteen foreign Chambers of Commerce participated in the meeting, organized by the Special Task Force for Key Foreign Investment Projects of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China.

During the roundtable, CICC brought to the attention of the Chinese authorities the significant impact that the current situation is having on our companies operating in the country. To substantiate this first step of advocacy, CICC was also able to bring the hard stats of a recent survey (the full results will be published shortly) which show that 61% of our companies are in lockdown; 40% of Italian companies also expressed their uncertainty about their business in China.
