Post Event: Emilia - Romagna F&B Event – November 23rd , Shanghai

Dear CICC Members and Friends,

 

The Emilia Romagna F&B Event organized by the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce was held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Shanghai, on November 23rd, 2017.

It was a remarkable successful event aimed to promote the Italian Food Culture in China and to develop new collaboration between Italian companies and Chinese buyers through seminars and B2B meetings. Indeed, this year, for the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World, the Emilia-Romagna has decided to focus on China Market.

The event saw the presence of the General Consul of Italy in Shanghai, Stefano Beltrame and the Commercial Consul, Ludovica Murazzani, the President of Emilia-Romagna, Stefano Bonaccini, the Emilia Romagna Councillor of Agriculture, Simona Caselli, and the ICE Deputy Director, Micaela Soldini, together with the major representatives from the Italian companies in F&B Industries and Emilia Romagna companies.


        


 

After the Guest's registration, the event formally started with the welcome speech from the General Consul of Italy in Shanghai, Mr. Stefano Beltrame  and Emilia-Romagna region's President, Mr. Stefano Bonaccini, fallowed by Mrs. Simona Caselli’s overview about Emila-Romagna's F&B industry.

Once all the speakers have been introduced, the seminar started with Mr. Pablo Recio Gracia, EibensChina Managing Director. The speech outlined the strengths and weaknesses of the Chinese Market, and delineated the opportunities and main difficulties for the Italian Companies’ export practices towards China. The second speaker, Mrs. Wang Xiao Hong 王晓红, City Shop PR Director, provided a commentary how the Retail Chain Stores and Global Sourcing & Import are facing the daily challenging in the trading business, with her speech entitle “A glance in City Shop”.  Lastly, Mr. Chen Yin Pan, from Fireworks Ltd, talked about F&B digitalization journey in China, exposing and analyzing the response of Chinese society and market to the current digital boom.
 

         

 

After a first informal opportunity of meeting during the Coffee Break, the B2B session started, where the companies met potential buyers and business partners. Every company had the possibility to showcase and let the counterpart taste their product. More than 40 B2B meetings were held during this sessions characterizing the success of the event.
