Signa Maris, Where the Sea Speaks of Italy_Post Event

18 November 2015

Yesterday, on November 17th 2015, in Beijing it was held the evening presentation of the project Signa Maris.

Signa Maris, a project of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism (MiBACT), “represents an opportunity to describe Calabria, Campania, Puglia, Sicilia starting from the sea, a historical gateway to these regions of South Italy”, underlines Giulia Zigiotti, Secretary General of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce.

Italian and Chinese tour operators, reporters in the business and opinion leaders joined the event and had the possibility to participate in the selection of an extra virgin olive oil bottle offered by the Apulian agricultural holding “Polvanera”, sponsor of the event.

Thanks to the official video of Signa Maris, the evening guests could admire “the Italian beauty that cannot be copied”, as highlighted by Sergio Bertasi, vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce.

After the presentation, at the restaurant Sureno it was offered a dinner conceived as the beginning of the journey to discover the itineraries promoted by the project through the flavors, locations and culture of each region.

A representative of the Ministry of Education, Giuseppe Marucci, who was visiting Beijing in those days, the First Secretary of the Consular Chancery and Visa, Massimo Gaudiano, and the director of the Italian Institute of Culture, Stefania Stafutti, joined the presentation and expressed positive comments regarding the project.
