The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce is glad to inform you that the Italian Gala Dinner in Beijing will be held on Saturday November 25 at Kerry Hotel Beijing.

The 2nd Week of the Italian Cuisine in China

From November 20th to November 26th Italy celebrates its Second Week of the Italian Cuisine Abroad in the World (Seconda Settimana della Cucina Italiana all’Estero nel Mondo). The Week of the Italian Cuisine in China is part of a global project supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale), the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (Ministero dell’Istruzione, dell’Università e della Ricerca), the Ministery of Economic Development (Ministero dello sviluppo economico) and the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies (Ministero delle Politiche Agricole, Alimentari e Forestali), aiming at spreading the values of the Mediterranean Cuisine (UNESCO intangible heritage) and boosting awareness about Italian F&B products.

The second edition will aim at improving the Italian  F&B export to China, with a focus on specific areas and products. It will also be characterised by a wider use of the social media to promote this initiative.

For the occasion, to create the signature menu of the Gala Dinner the CICC invited the Michelin-Starred Chef, Massimo Spigaroli. Often called “THE FARMING CHEF” since his cuisine is carried out only “using the natural methods”, Spigaroli has many times been an international ambassador for the Italian cuisine.

Call for Tenders (Deadline October 13th):

The CICC is looking for different vendors that can provide the following services: 

  • Event set-up and Management (construction items, audio-video system, lighting set-up) 
  • Video production (animated video content)
  • Goodie Bags production
  • Entertainment/Shows

 

Evaluation criteria

The selection of the Supplier will be made according to the Event’s requirements.
The selection of the Supplier will be made according to the lowest bidding price received.
If the bidding price is the same or the service/goods are supplied free of charge, the Chamber will give priority to the members of the Chamber first and will select the first submitted bid that will meet the standards of quality indicated.
If no applications are submitted by the members of the Chamber, the Chamber has the right to select the most appropriate application submitted by one of the non-member companies present on CICC database.
The Supplier shall be excluded from the tendering:

in case of not meeting conditions of the tendering process;
in case of non-conformity with the hereby open call for tender;
in case of submitting false data;
late submission.

Conditions of participation

Participation in tendering is open to CICC Members and no Members.
Companies competing in the tender must have the necessary knowledge and experience and have the technical support and personnel capable to run the tender.
Company may submit only one tender.
The tender is to be drafted in Italian or English, filled in and signed.
It is the responsibility of the tenderer to study the specification and requirements before submitting the tender.
