The Italian Grand Gala, organized by China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC), was held on June 13th 2015 at Shangri-La Hotel. The Panda d’Oro Awards were received by the winning companies throughout the dinner.

The 6th edition of the Panda d’Oro Award was sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economic Development and the Embassy of Italy in China, in association with Italy-China Foundation.

The Awards recognized the outstanding performance of companies and entrepreneurs, which have contributed the most to developing and strengthening bilateral economic relations between China and Italy.

During the Gala fifteen awards, from 8 different categories, were assigned:

1.“Panda d’Oro-Cina” Award
Winner: Giacomini Heating and Cooling Technology (Beijing) Co. Ltd.

2 “The Best Project Panda” Award
Winner: Florentia Village.

3. “The Time-honoured Panda” Award
Winners: Bonfiglioli Drives (Shanghai) Co. Ltd, Piaggio Group and Progetto CMR.

4. “The 2015 Milan EXPO Panda” Award
Winners: Intesa Sanpaolo and MSC Cruises.

5. “The Best Italian SME” in China Panda Award
Winners: Faist Group, Italmatch Chemicals and Loccioni (China) Commerce & Trade Co. Ltd.

6. “The Innovative Panda” Award

Winners: Exprivia and Water Gen Power.

7. “The Friendship Panda” Award
Winners: FESCO Adecco and Haian ETDZ.

8. “The Ethic Panda” Award 
Winner: Ferrero China.

Mr. Franco Cutrupia, Chairman of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, opened the event with his welcome speech, followed by Mr. Stefano Beltrame’s, Consul General of Italy in Shanghai.

Among the Chinese guests were: Deputy District Mayor of Jing’an District, Mrs. Sun Ping, CPC Hai’an County Committee Secretary Lu Wei Dong, who was the representative of the Hai’an ETDZ, supporting sponsor of our Gala, and Mr. Pan Yue, Chairman of the Suzhou Foreign Affairs Institute.

The event reached a new record of over 500 guests, who represented Sino-Italian business community and Italian and Chinese institutions.
 

During this unforgettable evening of elegance and sophistication, presented by Connie Chen, all the guests enjoyed authentic Italian wine, food, music, and several extravagant performances. Lucky draw gifts were also provided by Italian and Chinese Sponsors.

To conclude the Italian Grand Gala, Mr. Cutrupia commented the event: “I would like to share with the entrepreneurs and colleagues present in the room, my satisfaction of seeing how successful this event has become over the years. Many congratulations to the winners, the protagonists of entrepreneurial success stories, and I hope to see a growing number of companies valued by this award in the future editions"
