On March 4th, 2026, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China (CCIC), in collaboration with Deloitte, successfully hosted the seminar “China Tax Outlook: Aligning with Regulatory Transformation” in Suzhou.

The session brought together professionals and corporate representatives for an in-depth discussion on China’s evolving tax landscape, offering practical insights into regulatory developments and enforcement trends shaping 2026.

During the session, Ms. Kelly Guan Lieyun and Ms. Helen Ha Jiyou, Partners of Deloitte Tax and Business Advisory Services, provided an overview of China’s 2025 tax administration landscape, focusing on recent regulatory developments and the ongoing VAT reform. They also shared insights into the evolving enforcement practices of the State Taxation Administration (STA), helping companies better understand current compliance expectations.

The discussion further addressed the Common Reporting Standard (CRS) under the framework of PRC Individual Income Tax regulations, highlighting compliance obligations related to overseas financial accounts and cross-border income. Practical considerations were shared for individuals and senior executives navigating increasing international tax transparency.

The event concluded with an engaging Q&A session and networking opportunity, allowing participants to further exchange views and discuss practical challenges faced in their respective industries.

As regulatory scrutiny and international information exchange continue to intensify, this seminar served as a timely platform to strengthen compliance awareness and strategic preparedness in an era of ongoing tax transformation.

CCIC extends its sincere appreciation to Deloitte, the speakers, and all participants for contributing to the success of this event.
