On 10 March 2026, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China, in collaboration with XJTLU International Business School Suzhou at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, successfully hosted the event “2026 Italy–China Tax Treaty and Business Trends” in Suzhou.
The keynote lecture was delivered by Lorenzo Riccardi, Chairman of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China.
The session was structured in three engaging parts. The first section provided participants with an overview of the history and development of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China, highlighting its longstanding role in supporting Italian businesses and fostering economic cooperation with China.
The second section focused on current tax agreements and incentives between Italy and China, offering valuable insights into the regulatory framework affecting cross-border investment and business activity in 2026.
The final part of the event featured an interactive Q&A session, where Riccardi addressed a range of fascinating questions from the audience, including discussions on current global political challenges, the evolving international business environment, and future goals for Italy–China economic cooperation.
The event brought together students, academics, and members of the international business community, creating a valuable opportunity for learning, discussion, and exchange on Italy–China economic relations and international taxation.
