On 20 March 2026, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China hosted the Suzhou B2B Matching – Q1 SIP Session at the Yangtze River Delta Cross-border Investment Service Center, bringing together Italian and Chinese companies to strengthen cross-border investment and business cooperation.

The event aimed to build a two-way bridge for collaboration, enabling enterprises from both countries to connect through policy insights, business environment presentations, and direct matchmaking discussions. Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP), recognised as a key hub for foreign investment, provided a strong backdrop, with over 5,200 foreign enterprises and 100+ Fortune 500 companies already established in the area.

The session began with a site visit to the Investment Service Center, showcasing SIP’s “one-stop” support services for international businesses. This was followed by opening remarks, highlighting the growing ties between Italy and China and the Chamber’s role in facilitating bilateral cooperation.

Participants attended presentations on the investment environment in Italy, delivered by Cristiana Barbatelli, as well as insights into SIP’s “going global” and “bringing in” strategies, emphasising its strong industrial ecosystem and policy support.

A key highlight was the enterprise sharing and matchmaking session, where Italian companies in intelligent manufacturing and services engaged directly with Chinese firms in sectors such as AI, robotics, new energy, and autonomous technologies, exchanging experiences and exploring concrete collaboration opportunities.

The event concluded with a lively networking session, where participants held in-depth discussions on cross-border partnerships. Overall, the session provided a practical and efficient platform for connection, laying a solid foundation for future China–Italy business cooperation.
