A Memorable Journey to BYD - Innovation, Heritage & Partnership

2026-01-30

On January 29, 2026, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China (CICC) organized an insightful company visit to BYD in Shenzhen, offering participants a close look at the innovation and heritage of one of the world’s leading high-tech enterprises.

The tour began at the BYD Museum, where participants explored the company's journey from its founding in 1994 to its current global footprint across automobiles, electronics, new energy, and rail transit. The group witnessed the iconic Patent Wall, stepped into the original factory, and felt the enduring "engineer spirit" of the 1990s.

Following the museum visit, the delegation proceeded to the BYD Exhibition Hall at Innovation Plaza, gaining further perspective on smart mobility and collaborative innovation in the electric vehicle sector.

The day concluded with a meaningful meeting at Vinci Cultura, where the Italian Chamber delegation — including South China Vice President Vinicio Eminenti, South China Board Member Alessandro Petrini, and South China Office Manager Romina Di Martino — met with representatives from the Pingshan District Government. They were joined by Deputy Director Liu Yuliang and Director Liu Hailan from the Pingshan Investment Promotion Service Agency, as well as Section Chief Ye Min from the Comprehensive Bonded Zone and Foreign Trade & Investment Division of the Pingshan Business Bureau, who presented the district’s foreign-friendly business environment and shared opportunities for international cooperation. The active involvement of the Italian delegates enriched the dialogue and reinforced a shared commitment to strengthening ties between Italian and Chinese enterprises.

The exchange proved both engaging and productive, underscoring the strong potential for Sino-Italian business collaboration within the Greater Bay Area. We extend our sincere gratitude to BYD for the inspiring tour, and to the Pingshan District Government for their warm hospitality and insightful sharing. We also thank all participants for their valuable contributions. Events like this reinforce our mission to connect, inform, and support our members in China’s dynamic market.
