CCIC Company Visit with Fincantieri

On Monday, 20 April 2026, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China (CCIC), in collaboration with its member company Marine Interiors, a Fincantieri Company, successfully hosted the company visit “On Board Adora Flora City: A Masterpiece of Italy-China Shipbuilding” at the Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipyard.

Highlights of the event:

  • The event gathered around 50 participants, CCIC Members and Non-members of our Chamber.

  • The event started with a brief welcoming greetings from Lorenzo Riccardi, CCIC Chairman and Mr. Huang Yicheng, Principal Officer of Cruise Ship Dept, with following presentation of the project and explanation of the 3D models of the ship Adora Flora City;

  • Guided technical visit on board the Adora Flora City ship; the ship is an outcome of the collaboration between Marine Interiors, a Fincantieri Company, and Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (SWS).

  • Seminar session with Roberto Passalacqua, Chief Executive Officer, Fincantieri China; Massimiliano Veri, GM, CSSC-Fincantieri Cruise Industry Development Ltd. and Enea Colombo, Group GM, Icona Design.

  • The main topics of the seminar were the design of large cruise ships, project development processes, and industrial collaboration.


The event concluded with a lively Q&A session and a networking refreshment.

CCIC would like to extend its special thanks to Marine Interiors, a Fincantieri company, and SWS for hosting us and for providing CCIC and its participants with the valuable opportunity to access such a unique operational environment. It was greatly enriching our insights into large cruise ship design and the shipbuilding industry.
