On Friday, 30 January 2026, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China (CCIC) successfully held its first networking event in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province, building an efficient communication bridge for Italian business professionals and partners deeply involved in the region. Centered on the theme of “deepening cooperation and opening new chapters together,” the event achieved business matchmaking, resource sharing, and emotional connection in a warm and friendly atmosphere, injecting strong momentum into China–Italy economic and trade cooperation in the new year. The event featured catering by Haining Rosemary Italian Restaurant (海宁迷迭香意大利餐厅) and was held at the Shining Man Hotel (嘉兴奢小曼酒店-九曲里店) in Jiaxing’s Nanhu District.
As the first special networking event organized by CCIC in Jiaxing, the event received positive responses from both the Chinese and Italian business communities. More than 50 representatives from various fields, including smart manufacturing, textile design, and food trade, gathered for in-depth exchanges on topics such as Jiaxing’s industrial advantages, regional cooperation opportunities, and enterprise development needs.
At the event, CCIC Board Member Mr. Emilio Cassanelli stated in his welcome speech that Jiaxing, as a core city in the Yangtze River Delta region, has become an important hub for Italian enterprises developing in China thanks to its superior location, well-established industrial ecosystem, and open business environment. The organization of this networking event is not only an important step for the Chamber of Commerce to extend its service reach and better meet the needs of enterprises, but also marks a new stage of closer cooperation between Chinese and Italian companies in the Jiaxing region. In the future, CCIC will continue to act as a bridge and link, providing more specialized and regular communication platforms for enterprises from both countries, supporting Italian companies in establishing themselves in Jiaxing, expanding their markets, and promoting the deep integration of local industries with “Made in Italy.”
Subsequently, Ms. Peng Yingjie, Deputy Chief of the Jiaxing Investment Promotion Bureau, comprehensively introduced Jiaxing’s development advantages and investment opportunities in terms of location, transportation, industrial ecosystem, policy support, livability, and business environment, showcasing the city’s unique charm and development potential as a gateway to the Yangtze River Delta.
It is also worth mentioning that the authentic Italian cuisine and wine carefully presented at the event allowed attendees to experience the charm of the fusion of Chinese and Italian cultures while enjoying distinctive flavors.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Haining Rosemary Italian Restaurant, Shanghai Lunanera Italian Wine Alliance, Jiaxing Agricultural Bank Nanhu Branch, and Jiaxing Shining Man Hotel for their strong support of this event.
