CCIC IQLC Tmall Luxury seminar, 13.01, Shanghai

On Tuesday, 13 January 2026, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CCIC), in collaboration with its Italian Quality and Lifestyle Council (IQLC) and Tmall Luxury, have successfully hosted the event “Voices of the Brands: Insights from 2025, Visions for 2026 - Live with Tmall Luxury & experts’ input” at Egon Zehnder International, in Shanghai. The event focused on brand perspectives on the China market and future outlooks.

Highlights of the event included:

  • A presentation of Egon Zehnder company and event venue in Shanghai by Tiffany Qiang (Executive Search and Leadership Advisory Consultant at Egon Zehnder).

  • Welcome remarks and introduction of CCIC IQLC by Andrea Fenn, CEO adiacent China and CCIC IQLC Vice-coordinator.

  • Keynote speech by Roy Wang (Business development & Key account operation Director, Tmall Luxury) entitled “From Reach to Relationship: Deepening Consumer Connections in the Digital Age”. Wang underlined the evolution of the consumers profiles, and the importance of local adaptation. Moreover, he explained the importance of technology adoption, and how Tmall Luxury helps brands to spread their storytelling, in fact Wang said “Tmall Luxury is the digital innovation partner for more than 200 top luxury brands”.

  • The panel discussion was moderated by Rongwei Chu (Associate Professor of Marketing and Associate Chair of the Department of Marketing at the School of Management, Fudan University), and it had as panelists: John Chen (Leader of strategy, Tmall Luxury), Jean Liang (Managing Director China and South East Asia, OnTheList), Lorenzo Barberio (General Manager & Head of Sales Asia Pacific - Marcolin Asia Pacific and CCIC IQLC Vice Coordinator), and Marco Pavoncelli (Former Vice President Timberland APAC marketplace).

The event concluded with a Q&A session, fostering direct exchange between Italian and Chinese companies' representatives, finally with a networking aperitif offered by Portomatto.
