Yesterday 22nd January in Shenzhen, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China (CCIC) hosted a focused seminar on cybersecurity and data protection, in partnership with our Members Exprivia IT Solutions (SH) and Wang Jing & GH Law Firm.
Following opening remarks by Romina Di Martino, CCIC South China Office Manager, the event featured presentations from Laura Priore, Italian Lawyer and Data Protection Officer at Wang Jing & GH Law Firm, who shared the latest regulatory and compliance updates, and Simone Ciampi, General Manager of Exprivia IT Solutions (SH), who provided a practical analysis of current cybersecurity trends along with real-world case studies.
The discussions underscored that cybersecurity today extends far beyond IT—it is a strategic business issue impacting financial, legal, reputational, and operational dimensions. With threats evolving rapidly, especially in cloud and AI-driven environments, compliance alone is not enough; it must be paired with proactive measures such as continuous monitoring and ongoing training.
Following the insightful presentations, a lively Q&A session sparked engaging dialogue among participants, which continued into a casual networking session after the event.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all our participants—both online and on site for joining this meaningful dialogue. A special thank you to our insightful speakers and to Wang Jing & GH Law Firm for graciously hosting us. We are also grateful for the support of our sponsor Sant’Anna.
