As 2026 marks the conclusion of China’s 14th Five-Year Plan and the blueprinting phase of the 15th Five-Year Plan, the country’s industrial policies and regional development strategies are entering a new stage of adjustment. To help enterprises better understand the upcoming policy directions, industrial priorities, and regional opportunities, the Italian Chamber of Commerce (CCIC), D’Andrea & Partners, PHC Advisory, and the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China (EUCCC) co-hosted a seminar “The 15th Five-Year Plan: Guidelines, Targets, Opportunities” on January 20th, 2026, at CCIC Suzhou Office.
The event brought together business leaders, professionals, and industry stakeholders from manufacturing, services, consulting, and cross-border business sectors.
The seminar opened with welcoming remarks by Mr. Davide Angelibusi, Board Member of CCIC, who emphasized the importance of supporting foreign-invested enterprises in navigating China's business environment under the new Five-Year Plan.
Aris Xie, Partner and Legal Counsel at D’Andrea & Partners, delivered an in-depth analysis of the policy direction of the 15th Five-Year Plan, key industrial priorities, and their impact on foreign-invested enterprises. Based on his legal practice experience, he outlined critical compliance, investment, and business structuring issues under China's evolving regulatory framework.
Haili Wu, Associate Professor of Economics at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), provided a macroeconomic and regional development perspective, discussing China’s future industrial upgrading, coordinated regional growth, and innovation-driven development.
The event concluded with a networking aperitivo sponsored by DP Winery, offering participants an informal setting to continue discussions and explore potential collaborations.
Through a combination of policy analysis, practical experience, and academic perspectives, the seminar provided valuable insights into China’s upcoming Five-Year Plan and reinforced the platform for China–Europe business exchange.
