GWA Opening Ceremony & Seminar HSE in China

2026-04-16

On Thursday, April 16, 2026, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China (CCIC), in cooperation with GWA ASIA, successfully organised the seminar “HSE in China: Compliance and Best Practices for Manufacturers & GWA Opening Ceremony” in Suzhou, providing participants with practical insights into regulatory compliance and safety management in the Chinese manufacturing environment.

The event began with opening remarks delivered by Mr. Giovanni Pisacane, Founder and Managing Partner of GWA ASIA. In his speech, he warmly welcomed all participants and expressed his appreciation for their attendance. He highlighted the importance of HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) management for international companies operating in China and emphasised GWA ASIA’s ongoing commitment to supporting foreign-invested enterprises through legal, tax, and compliance advisory services. He also introduced GWA’s presence in Suzhou and underlined the significance of establishing a local office to better serve clients in the region.

Following the opening remarks, the seminar session commenced. The main session was introduced by Mr. Giovanni Pisacane before the presentation was delivered by Mrs. Tina Yang. The session provided a comprehensive and practical overview of the HSE framework in China for manufacturers, including key regulatory foundations, compliance obligations, and operational best practices. Attention was given to Suzhou’s local safety requirements, offering participants detailed guidance on how to align internal company procedures with regional regulations and adapt to the realities of day-to-day operations in China’s manufacturing environment.

The seminar continued with an interactive Q&A session, during which participants engaged actively with the speakers, raising questions related to compliance challenges, implementation strategies, and real-world operational issues faced by manufacturing companies in China. This exchange allowed for deeper clarification of key topics and encouraged knowledge sharing among attendees.

As part of the GWA Opening Ceremony, participants visited the newly established Suzhou office, toured the premises, gained insight into GWA ASIA’s operations, and met the team. The visit highlighted the firm’s expansion and growing presence in the Yangtze River Delta.

The event concluded with a networking aperitivo celebrating the soft opening of GWA’s Suzhou Office. The informal setting allowed participants to exchange ideas, connect, and explore potential collaborations within Suzhou’s international business community.

The Italian Chamber of Commerce in China (CCIC) remains committed to supporting its members through knowledge-sharing and facilitating dialogue between industry experts and businesses in China, looks forward to continued growth and engagement of Italian and international companies in the Suzhou business ecosystem, and expresses its sincere appreciation to GWA ASIA for its cooperation and contribution to the successful organisation of this seminar.
