On March 9th, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China (CCIC), in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy to the P.R.C. and the Italian Cultural Institute, hosted the talk “In conversation with Arch. Paolo Desideri and Arch. Federico Desideri” on the occasion of the 10th edition of Italian Design Day.

The event brought together architects and architecture studios among members of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China for an exchange with Arch. Paolo Desideri, from Roma Tre University and ABDR Architetti Associati, and Arch. Federico Desideri, from Sapienza University of Rome and ABDR Architetti Associati.

During the presentation, the two architects showcased a selection of their projects, illustrating how architecture can contribute to the regeneration of former industrial areas and public housing districts. Through these case studies, they highlighted design strategies that place landscape, ecological frameworks, and the integration of nature at the center of contemporary urban development.

The talk was followed by an open discussion between the speakers and CCIC members from the architecture sector, fostering a discussion on landscape, identity, and the different cultural perspectives that shape architectural approaches in China and Italy.
