Chongqing, September 24th, 2026 – Supported by the Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing, SACE and Mechanical Engineering Working Group (MEWG) of CCIC, the Company Tour at AVATR, co-organized by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China (CCIC) and AVATR, was successfully held on the morning of September 24th, 2026, in Chongqing. It is one of CCIC’s Company Tour series activities across China.
The first session of the event consisted of a factory tour of the AVATR Digital Intelligence Smart Factory, bringing together nearly 30 participants, the tour was led by Mr. Alex Yang, Director of the EU Region at AVATR. Under his guidance, the delegation gained in-depth insights into the advanced intelligent production model and international development strategies of AVATR’s smart manufacturing base in Chongqing.
The AVATR team presented the plant’s highly automated and fully digital production workflows, including professional energy-saving and low-carbon emission solutions for new energy vehicle manufacturing. The tour showcased the factory’s efficient production rhythm, optimized electric vehicle body craftsmanship, and precise digital order management systems, which enable full-process traceability and effective production cost control.
The second part of the event took place at AVATR’s Chongqing Headquarters. The delegation first visited the brand exhibition hall and explored AVATR’s latest new-energy vehicle models, including the upcoming vehicles scheduled to launch in the European market next year. The showcased products fully demonstrate AVATR’s advanced design concepts, intelligent technology configurations and mature new-energy manufacturing capabilities, laying a solid foundation for the brand’s future overseas expansion into Europe.
The indoor sharing session was officially opened by Mr. Fabio Schina, Consul General of Italy in Chongqing, who delivered the opening institutional speech. He expressed his pleasure in revisiting AVATR and praised Chongqing’s vigorous new-energy automotive industry and innovative advantages. The Consul General emphasized the value of institutional and corporate exchanges in boosting bilateral cooperation, acknowledging the key bridging role of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China and SACE. He also highlighted Italy’s solid strengths in automotive design, components, automation and sustainable technologies, and hoped the event would further promote continuous industrial exchanges and cooperation between AVATR and Italian enterprises, as well as between Italy and Chongqing.
Following the Consul General’s opening remarks, Mr. Franco Bergamino, CCIC Board Member Chongqing, delivered a speech as one of the event’s organizers on behalf of CCIC. Noting that the AVATR tour formed part of CCIC’s nationwide Company Visit Series, which has delivered over 30 cross industry enterprise exchanges across China, he pointed out Chongqing’s pivotal position in the automotive sector and the promising Sino Italian cooperation potential in this field. He contrasted Italy’s proven strengths in automotive design, engineering, components and advanced manufacturing with China’s leading edge competence in new energy vehicles, smart and digital production, stressing that such visits aim to build connections, deepen mutual understanding and translate dialogues into tangible business opportunities for enterprises from both countries. He concluded by thanking all partners and AVATR for hosting the event.
Following Mr. Franco Bergamino’s address, Mr. Justin Li, President of AVATR Overseas, spoke as the host representative of the event. On behalf of AVATR, he extended a warm welcome to all distinguished guests. He highlighted AVATR’s positioning as an emotive luxury intelligent EV brand and reviewed its robust global expansion progress, noting its solid overseas sales growth and stable profitability. Pointing out Europe, and Italy in particular, as key strategic markets, he stressed the high alignment between Italy’s renowned strengths in automotive design and craftsmanship and AVATR’s brand philosophy. He outlined the brand’s European market roadmap, including upcoming market entry targets and plans for local networks and partnerships. Lastly, he expressed anticipation for deeper exchanges and win win industrial cooperation with Italian governmental institutions, business associations and local enterprises.
This initiative also has the support from SACE with the presence of Mr. Jay Chen, Representative for Asia Pacific & Greater China Coverage at SACE, he introduced SACE the Italy's Export Credit Agency, owned by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and its core activities in trade finance, strategic partnerships, risk mitigation, and business matching. He elaborated on the Archimede Guarantee and how SACE can support foreign companies in their partnership and development in Italy.
The event concluded with open networking among all participants alongside static vehicle demonstrations of AVATR models. Guests exchanged views on new energy vehicle development and potential bilateral business opportunities, marking the end of this productive company tour.
