RECAP | Company Visit to Schneider Wingoal Electric Equipment

On 29 May 2026, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China (CCIC), and its Mechanical Engineering Working Group (MEWG), together with the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China Tianjin Chapter, hosted the company visit to Schneider Wingoal (Tianjin) Electric Equipment.


The event brought together representatives from Italian, European and Chinese companies to explore the latest developments in AI-driven manufacturingdigital transformation, and sustainable industrial practices.

Participants had the opportunity to tour Schneider Wingoal’s advanced production facilities, gaining first-hand insights into the company’s implementation of lean manufacturing principles, AI-enabled automation, digital quality control systems, and carbon-neutral production strategies. The visit showed how smart technologies are being integrated into manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, product quality, and environmental performance.

The factory visit was followed by a roundtable discussion, opened by Francesco Innocenti, Board Member North China of CCIC, and Lorraine Zhang, General Manager of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China Tianjin Chapter, and moderated by Rosanna Terminio, Partner at AsecorpChina.

The discussion explored the growing impact of artificial intelligence across industrial operations. Alexandra Wang, Production Digital Engineer at Schneider, shared practical applications of AI for real-time quality control and defect prevention, while Jerry Wang, Vice President of Lenovo New Vision Technology, presented Lenovo’s vision for the AI-native era and the integration of AI and robotics into manufacturing processes.

The conversation also addressed the role of AI in asset management, maintenance, safety and compliance. Bruno Lhopiteau, Managing Director of Siveco China, illustrated how predictive maintenance and smart operation and maintenance solutions can support reliability, operational efficiency, and HSE performance.

Looking beyond production, Marco Galiazzo, Founder and CEO of EKR Orchestra, demonstrated how Generative AI can improve knowledge management and streamline complex business processes, while Galina Panina, Business Psychologist and Co-founder of OnWire Wellbeing Solutions, focused on the human dimension of industrial transformation, highlighting the importance of change management, skills development, and employee engagement in successful AI adoption.

The event successfully fostered dialogue among industry professionals and provided a valuable opportunity to explore how emerging technologies are reshaping manufacturing, paving the way for more intelligent, efficient, and sustainable industrial development.
