On Friday, 22 May 2026, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China (CCIC), together with the Mechanical Engineering Working Group (MEWG), and in collaboration with its Member company AsecorpChina and the Pinghu Economic & Technological Development Zone, successfully hosted the company visit “DMG MORI & Sharetek in Pinghu: 2 Tours, 1 Roundtable” at DMG MORI Manufacturing Solutions in Pinghu, Zhejiang Province. The event gathered around 40 participants of members and non-members.
The event started with a guided technical visit at DMG MORI Manufacturing Solutions, led by Tao Xin, Technical Sales Manager, and Tiffany Jin, Assistant to the Managing Director.
The program continued with opening remarks from Xuebin Wang, Director of the Administrative Committee of Pinghu Economic-Technological Development Zone, who warmly welcomed the delegation. This was followed by Fabrizio Ferrari, Board Member of CCIC, who pointed out the increase in investment and expressed the hope for further cooperation with the Pinghu and Jiaxing area. Max Zheng, from the Bureau of Investment Promotion & Service of PEDZ, gave a clear and comprehensive introduction to the Pinghu area.
Rosanna Terminio, Partner and Founder of AsecorpChina, organized and moderated the roundtable discussion “How do historical industrial automation brands adapt and thrive in China?”. The discussion featured Ge Jin, President of Universe Robotics; Gianluca Giorgi, CEO of ES Automation Consulting Ltd (connected online); and Luca Gasparri, General Manager of Comer Industries China District, focusing on localization, product innovation, and industrial automation in China.
The event concluded with a work lunch at Paulaner Restaurant, a visit to Pinghu Innovation Park and the Auto Exhibition Hall, followed by a guided factory tour at Zhejiang Sharetek Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., led by Cheng Weiqiang, Production Manager.
