On 26th June, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China (CCIC) successfully hosted a workshop on "How Can Gen AI Drive Sales Increase, Customer Service Enhancement and R&D Efficiency Improvement", in collaboration with EKR srl and Yinghe (Guangzhou) Law Firm (Winteam500), both member enterprises of the Chamber.
Following a welcome address by Romina Di Martino, South China Manager of CCIC, and a tour of Winteam’s premises, the workshop moved into its two main sessions: a technical implementation deep dive presented by EKR Founder Marco Galiazzo, followed by a legal compliance overview led by Winteam Partner Vanessa Chou.
Key Highlights:
Generative AI was explored from both technical and legal perspectives:
On the technology front, real-world manufacturing cases demonstrated significant gains in sales efficiency, customer service automation, and R&D productivity—with the core message that AI’s business value depends on well-structured enterprise knowledge.
On the compliance side, China’s current regulatory framework was outlined, covering algorithm filing, content security, data localization, and cross-border transfer controls, with ZDR (Zero Data Retention) identified as a critical mechanism for mitigating risks and aligning with PIPL standards.
The event concluded with a lively Q&A session, followed by a phased implementation approach covering process analysis, objective setting, system integration, team development, and iterative refinement.
The CCIC remains committed to providing its members with timely insights and practical resources on emerging technologies, serving as a compass for Italian enterprises in China to help them seize innovation opportunities while steadily navigating compliance challenges.
