On Wednesday, 24th June, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China (CCIC), in collaboration with EKR S.R.L., successfully held the Workshop EKR titled "How Can Gen AI Drive Sales Increase, Customer Service Enhancement and R&D Efficiency Improvement" at the Jiaxing Science and Technology City Exhibition Hall (Smart Cube).
The event gathered around 20 participants from the manufacturing and technology sectors, offering attendees the opportunity to explore how Generative AI and Enterprise Knowledge Maps are transforming operational efficiency and business competitiveness.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE EVENT:
The workshop opened with welcoming remarks from CCIC and EKR representatives, highlighting the growing collaboration between the Italian business community and Jiaxing's manufacturing and technology sectors.
The first keynote session, "Gen AI Readiness: Redefining Manufacturing Enterprise Process Improvement" addressed how enterprises can assess their AI readiness and re-engineer processes to unlock new efficiencies. A series of focused sessions showcased concrete AI applications:
Sales Increase Examples – predictive lead scoring, intelligent pricing optimization, and personalized customer engagement.
Customer Service Enhancement Examples – intelligent ticketing systems, automated responses, and sentiment analysis tools.
R&D Efficiency Improvement – accelerating product development cycles, improving testing accuracy, and enhancing team collaboration.
Following a networking coffee break, attendees introduced themselves, sharing their company, role, and specific expectations from AI. The workshop then delved into the core concept of the Enterprise Knowledge Map (EKM), with spakers explaining how it transforms static data archives into a dynamic, accessible knowledge ecosystem. A live demonstration – "EKM in Action" – illustrated how the platform extracts insights and makes institutional knowledge available in real time.
The session "Roadmap to Implementation: Next Steps for Your Company" provided actionable advice on technology selection, data migration, team training, and success metrics
The workshop concluded with wrapping up remarks that summarized key takeaways and reiterated the CCIC's commitment to supporting members through knowledge-sharing and networking, followed by an open discussion and networking session.
