GWA is looking for a BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST to join our team and support the development of our business activities across our SHANGHAI/SUZHOU OFFICE (according to candidate preference). The ideal candidate will support the development of GWA’s business network, identify new business opportunities, and contribute to the firm’s commercial growth in China and internationally in line with the company’s strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for the firm
- Conduct market research and business intelligence activities to identify potential clients, companies, investors, and relevant market opportunities
- Research and monitor companies with potential international expansion and investment interests
- Develop and maintain business development databases and contact lists to support lead generation and commercial activities
- Build and maintain relationships with government authorities, industrial parks, chambers of commerce, business associations, and other strategic partners
- Organize and participate in visits to companies, industrial parks, government institutions, and other relevant organizations to introduce GWA’s services and explore potential cooperation opportunities
- Represent GWA at networking events, trade fairs, business forums, conferences, and other relevant activities
- Support the development and implementation of marketing and communication initiatives aimed at increasing GWA’s visibility and supporting business development activities
- Assist in the preparation, adaptation, translation, and coordination of marketing and business development materials
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, Marketing, Management, International Relations, Communications, or a related field
- Resident in China: Shanghai/Suzhou
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in business development, consulting, sales, or related commercial activities
- Fluent in Chinese and English; knowledge of Italian is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to identify business opportunities and proactively develop new contacts and partnerships
- Experience in organizing business events, seminars, conferences, or networking activities is a plus
- Proactive, results-oriented, and able to work independently and under pressure
