China Operations Specialist

We are looking for a proactive and detail-orientedChina Operations Specialist to join our growing team in Guangzhou.

The successful candidate will work closely with the current Operations Specialist, sharing responsibilities across sourcing, product development, supplier management, and operational coordination. This role acts as a key bridge between suppliers, our local partner, and theEuropean headquarters, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within quality standards, and according to business objectives.

This is a hands-on position that combines office-based coordination with regular factory visits, frequent business travel (primarily across Guangdong and Zhejiang provinces), and participation in major toy and licensing trade fairs in Mainland China and Hong Kong.

Key Responsibilities

• Support product development projects from initial sourcing through mass production
• Coordinate daily activities with MiToys regarding production schedules, supplier communication, and order follow-up
• Monitor production progress and ensure deadlines, quality standards, and customer requirements are met
• Visit factories for product development, inspections, production follow-up, and supplier meetings
• Travel frequently across China, particularly in Guangdong and Zhejiang, to visit suppliers and manufacturing partners
• Identify and develop new sourcing opportunities across China
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and factories
• Attend major toy, licensing, and sourcing trade fairs in Mainland China and Hong KongPrepare operational reports, sourcing updates, and project summaries for theEuropean headquarters
• Maintain accurate project documentation, quotations, product specifications, and internal records
• Update and manage operational data using Microsoft Excel and company management systems
• Coordinate problem-solving activities between factories, suppliers, and headquarters to resolve production or quality issues
• Ensure effective communication and alignment between Cool Things Guangzhou, MiToys, and the European headquarters

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• 1–4years of experience in sourcing, operations, product development, supply chain,or manufacturing (flexible depending on profile)
• Fluent spoken and writtenMandarin Chinese is mandatory
• Excellent spoken and writtenEnglish is mandatory
• Knowledge of Italian is considered an exceptional advantage
• Willingness to travel frequently throughout China, primarily within Guangdong and Zhejiangprovinces
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within an internationalteam
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes is considered a plus

Technical Skills

Mandatory

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, PivotTables, data analysis, reporting, and data organization)
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to prepare clear operational reports and maintain accurate documentation

Preferred

• Experience with ERP or company management systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, Odoo, or similar)
• Good knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint for preparing professional presentations
• Experience with project management software is considered a plus
