Main responsibilities

Market Development & Strategy:

  1. Design and execute the long-term market entry and expansion strategy for China.
  2. Identify priority crops, regions, segments, and market opportunities.
  3. Open new markets and channels, including distributors, key accounts, and strategic partners.
  4. Build the company’s positioning as a technical, reliable, and high-value agronomic partner.

Technical Leadership:

  1. Act as the technical authority of Company products in China.
  2. Deeply understand product composition, modes of action, and agronomic benefits.
  3. Translate scientific and technical knowledge into value propositions adapted to the Chinese market.
  4. Support distributors and clients with technical training, field trials, and product positioning.

Commercial Infrastructure Building:

  1. Create and progressively develop a robust commercial infrastructure in China.
  2. Select, onboard, and manage distributors and partners.
  3. Define commercial processes, pricing strategies, and go-to-market models.
  4. In later stages, recruit and lead local technical and commercial teams.

Representation & Brand Building:

  1. Act as the maximum representative of the company’s Plant Research in China.
  2. Represent the company at trade fairs, industry events, technical conferences, and institutional meetings.
  3. Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders across the agricultural value chain.

Coordination with Headquarters:

  1. Work closely with the company’s headquarters in Spain.
  2. Travel to Spain 3–4 times per year, especially during the initial phase, for training, alignment, and strategic planning.
  3. Ensure strong alignment between global strategy and local execution.

Years of work experience (in a specific field, if required)

  1. Proven experience in the agricultural sector (biostimulants, fertilizers, crop inputs, or related).
  2. Profile more technical than purely commercial, with the ability to add value through agronomic knowledge.
  3. Experience developing markets, opening new regions, or working with distributors is highly valued.
  4. International exposure or experience working with foreign companies is a strong plus.
  5. Language skills: native Chinese.Fluent English (written and spoken) – mandatory. Spanish is a plus but not required.
