GWA is looking for a PRODUCTION MANAGER for its client, a leading Italian company
specialized in the design and production of high-performance thermoplastic industrial
applications, to be based in their PRODUCTION PLANT in CHANGSHU. The ideal candidate
will supervise day-to-day production activities, coordinate production staff, ensure
compliance with safety and operational standards, and contribute to the continuous
improvement of production processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate, organize, plan, and supervise daily production activities
- Coordinate production staff and support line managers in the effective organization of production activities
- Monitor production processes and identify opportunities for improvement in terms of efficiency, safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Coordinate and supervise ordinary and extraordinary maintenance activities
- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and staff conduct in accordance with applicable rules and regulations
- Ensure cleanliness and tidiness across the production departments
- Support the training and development of production staff, sharing technical knowledge and best practices
- Identify and address production-related issues and support effective problem-solving on the shop floor
- Actively participate in employee education, information, and training activities
- Propose improvements in the areas of production, safety, quality, and environment
- Collaborate with management and relevant departments to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of production activities
- Basic knowledge of IATF tools such as FMEA, MSA, and SPC is appreciated but not mandatory
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of experience in a production or operations supervision role within a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in plastics, chemicals, or process industries
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and shop-floor operations
- Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to production management
- Proactive, accountable, and results-oriented mindset
- Good ability to coordinate and supervise production staff• Ability to work in a multicultural and international environment and coordinate with HQ and cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese
