Senior Quality Engineer (2026 Suzhou Career Day)

​Position in the Organization

• Report to Quality Manager
• In charge of quality inspectors in IQC, IPQC, OQC (about 5 people)
• The Quality Engineer role is expected to spend at least 50% of the time at the production floor and to work on Saturdays only in case of unsolved quality issues

Main responsibilities

1. Supervision and management of the day-to-day work of IPQC, OQC and IQC
2. Scrap rate and First Pass Yield and Customer Complaints analysis: Monitor the KPI of scrap rate and FPY;
3. Identify and analyze the causes of product failures, raw materials or process defects by applying structured quality methods such as Pareto, Ishikawa, 5W, etc.
4. Responsible for PDCA cycle: organize cross-departmental problem-solving meeting to discuss the RCA, define the preventive and corrective actions, monitor and confirm their implementation
5. Technical reporting: preparation of accurate quality failure reports (especially 8D reports) and samples verification reports to the technical teams in China and Italy
6. Manage quality documentation at the project level: preparation of the quality control plan, confirmation of work instructions
7. Maintain the product certifications: arrange regular testing of certified products
8. Maintain the instruments calibration report: add new instruments, arrange yearly calibration, manage the repairing of unqualified measuring instruments

Years of work experience (in specific field, if required)

1. Industry Experience: Minimum 5 years of work experience in the Quality department or R&D department in the electric transformers industry (preferably for low voltage applications); additional background in electronic manufacturing (SMT, THT) industry is a plus.
2. Familiarity with IEC standards related to current transformers and transformers in general, such as IEC 61869-2, is a strong plus
3. Familiar with quality management workflow and quality methods for RCA, understanding of the ISO9001 system, good communication, and leadership to organize cross-departmental activities
4. Language skills: proficiency in Chinese; has some English knowledge; a good level of English to communicate directly with HQ in Italy is preferred.
