Description
The QC Manager developes and implements quality procedures, ensuring products meet standards through testing and inspection, and managing a team to reduce waste and improve efficiency. She/he oversees all stages of production to guarantee customer and regulatory requirements are met, analyzes data, and prepares compliance reports. This role is crucial for maintaining product quality and improving overall company performance.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality standards: Create and establish the company's quality procedures, standards, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance: Make sure products meet both customer requirements and national/international standards, as well as health and safety guidelines.
- Manage testing and inspection: Oversee product inspections at various stages, from raw materials to the final product, to identify defects and deviations.
- Oversee production processes: Monitor production processes to ensure they are efficient and reduce waste.
- Manage and train staff: Lead a team of quality control technicians and other staff, providing training and guidance.
- Data analysis and reporting: Gather performance data, perform statistical analysis, and produce reports to document issues and improvements.
- Improve processes: Recommend and implement changes to production processes and policies to improve quality and efficiency.
- Liaise with other departments: Work with other managers and staff, including purchasing, to maintain quality throughout the supply chain.
Essential skills and qualifications
- Technical knowledge: In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures, including statistical methods and analysis.
- Leadership and management: Strong skills in leading, managing, and motivating a team.
- Attention to detail: A strong ability to observe and identify discrepancies in products and processes.
- Communication: Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Problem-solving: Ability to assess performance, identify weaknesses, and implement effective improvements.
- Experience: Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is typically necessary.
- Bilingual in Italian and Mandarin language
