CCIC and CCPIT Chongqing Sign MoU, 16.03, Chongqing

2026-03-16

On March 16th, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China (CCIC) and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Chongqing Committee (CCPIT Chongqing) held a bilateral meeting and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony at CCPIT Chongqing’s office.

CCIC was represented by Vice President in the Southwest Massimo Bagnasco, with Chongqing Promoter Franco Bergamino in attendance. CCPIT Chongqing delegation was led by Chairperson DENG Lin, accompanied by Vice Chairman YANG Xuchao, the Director and staff of the Information and Liaison Department.

Bagnasco noted that following the conclusion of the MoU, the two sides should further deepen cooperation by organizing government–enterprise exchange activities, participating in well-established exhibitions in both China and Italy, and creating B2B matchmaking opportunities for Chinese and Italian companies through the “going global” and “bringing in” strategies. The cooperation will focus on agrifood and agricultural modernization, urban renewal, industrial innovation and technological modernization, green transition and other key sectors.

Chairperson Deng warmly welcomed the CCIC delegation on their second visit and responded that the MoU signing is a pivotal opportunity to strengthen institutional cooperation. She hoped both parties would integrate offline enterprise matching activities with the promotion of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor platform and leverage the platform’s online channel to share enterprise potential cooperation information, so as to effectively advance the implementation of bilateral trade and investment cooperation.

At the ceremony, Chairperson Deng, on behalf of CCPIT Chongqing, and Vice President Bagnasco, on behalf of CCIC, signed the MoU. This milestone marks a new starting point for deeper and more pragmatic cooperation between the two institutions, laying a solid foundation for broader and more in-depth collaboration between Italian and Chongqing-based enterprises.
