The Italian Chamber of Commerce in China's Chairman Lorenzo Riccardi attended the exhibition “From Light into Darkness” at the Guangzhou Library, an event dedicated to the life and work of Caravaggio and his artistic legacy.
The visit took place together with Valerio De Parolis, Consul General of Italy, and offered an opportunity to explore an innovative exhibition format combining classical art with new technologies. The exhibition features an immersive virtual reality experience, allowing visitors to engage with Caravaggio’s masterpieces through a contemporary and interactive perspective. Also CCIC Director Alessandro Petrini, and CCIC Manager of Guangzhou office joined the event.
The initiative highlighted the role of cultural exchange as a key pillar of Italy–China relations, demonstrating how art, innovation, and technology can work together to promote mutual understanding and appreciation between the two countries.
