On July 24th, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China (CCIC) participated in the Bank of China Financial Support Event for Guangdong’s Global Investment Promotion and the Worldwide Promotion of Guangdong-Made Products, held in Guangzhou.
CCIC Chairman Gianni Di Giovanni attended the event and delivered a keynote speech on the future prospects of Italy–China economic cooperation. He highlighted the importance of moving beyond traditional trade relations by fostering deeper connections in innovation, industrial ecosystems, and long-term partnerships. He also emphasized the potential for further strengthening economic, trade and investment cooperation between Italy and Guangdong, promoting complementary advantages and mutually beneficial development between Italian and Chinese companies.
The forum was also attended by Meng Fanli, Deputy Secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Guangdong Province, and Ge Haijiao, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Bank of China, who delivered remarks during the opening session.
The event brought together representatives from government institutions, financial organizations, and business communities to discuss opportunities for international cooperation and support the global expansion of Guangdong enterprises.
