CCIC Chair Lorenzo Riccardi joined the Shanghai Investment Conference held at the city’s new Eastern Hub in Pudong and held by CPC Secretary Chen Jining, Mayor Gong Zheng, and the heads of Shanghai’s 16 districts.
The conference centered on the official presentation of Shanghai’s 15th Five-Year Plan, outlining the city’s strategic priorities for 2026–2030, including advanced manufacturing, AI, biomedicine, and green development.
The Eastern Hub is Shanghai’s newly launched visa-free business zone, located between Pudong International Airport and the future Shanghai East Railway Station. International business visitors can now enter without a visa for up to 30 days for exhibitions, R&D collaboration, and investment activities.
Riccardi's participation reinforces CCIC's commitment to strengthening economic ties between Italy and Shanghai, particularly in high-tech innovation, trade facilitation, and cross-border investment.
