2026-03-05

The Italian Chamber of Commerce in China (CCIC) and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia (ITALCHAM Malaysia) had the pleasure of organizing "Dialogue on the Future: Italian Enterprise in a Shifting Asia" on 4 March 2026 at Menara Generali in Kuala Lumpur, with the support of Generali Malaysia, Bauli Malaysia, Lavazza, and Dankoff Sdn Bhd.

The session featured an engaging fireside chat with Mr. Lorenzo Riccardi (Chairman of CCIC), Mr. Fabrice Benard (CEO of Generali Malaysia), H.E. Raffaele Langella (Ambassador of Italy to Malaysia), and Mr. Michele Dossi (President of ITALCHAM Malaysia). Moderated by ITALCHAM Vice-President, Mr. Luciano Pezzotta, the discussion explored strategies for leveraging bilateral and multilateral platforms such as ASEAN, RCEP, and EU-Asia trade frameworks to navigate the shifting Asian market, with a focus on supply chain diversification, digital transformation, and sustainable growth for Italian enterprises.

This event is part of a broader strategic initiative launched by CCIC to strengthen the network of Assocamerestero, the Association of Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad, and to promote Made in Italy across the Asia Pacific region. Through a series of high-level dialogues, B2B matchmaking sessions, and institutional partnerships, CCIC is working to enhance connectivity between Italian businesses and key Asian markets, from China to Southeast Asia. These efforts are designed to facilitate market entry for Italian SMEs by providing localized insights on regulatory frameworks, consumer trends, and investment opportunities, while simultaneously showcasing Italian excellence in sectors such as advanced manufacturing, food and beverage, luxury goods, and green technology. By fostering multilateral collaboration through engagement with local institutions, trade associations, and regional economic blocs, CCIC aims to create sustainable business ecosystems that support the long-term growth of Italian enterprises. CCIC is reinforcing its commitment to supporting the internationalization of Italian businesses and positioning Made in Italy as a symbol of quality, innovation, and craftsmanship in the evolving Asian landscape.
