The Italian Chamber of Commerce in China (CCIC), representated by its Chairman Lorenzo Riccardi participated in a historic walking tour in Tianjin, organized by the Italian Institute of Culture (IIC), represented by its Director Federico Antonelli within the city’s renowned Italian Style District.
The initiative offered participants the opportunity to explore a number of well-preserved historic buildings dating back to the early twentieth century in Tianjin, where also the Italian Chamber of Commerce had an office since 1921. The tour highlighted the architectural features and urban planning concepts that reflect Italy’s cultural and historical footprint in the area, as well as the district’s role in the broader context of Italy–China relations.
The Italian Institute of Culture, an official body of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, plays a key role in promoting Italian language, culture, and heritage abroad. Through cultural programs, exhibitions, and educational initiatives, the IIC actively fosters mutual understanding and cultural dialogue between Italy and China.
By taking part in the tour, the CCIC reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that enhance awareness of the historical and cultural foundations of Italy–China relations, complementing its long-standing mission to promote bilateral economic, commercial, and institutional cooperation.
