On April 1st, 2026, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China (CCIC) organized a delegation, led by Chairman Lorenzo Riccardi, to visit the National Exhibition and Convention Center on the occasion of the 34th HOTELEX Shanghai International Hotel and Catering Industry Expo.

HOTELEX Shanghai is one of the leading global trade fairs for the hospitality and foodservice industry, bringing together over 3,500 exhibitors and more than 250,000 professional visitors from around 130 countries and regions. Covering the entire Ho.Re.Ca. value chain — from food and beverage to coffee, equipment, and franchising — the exhibition represents a key platform for international brands looking to enter and expand in the Chinese market.

The delegation, accompanied by Antonella Fontanarosa, CCIC General Manager, and Wei Chen, CCIC Public Affairs Manager, focused on exploring the Italian food and coffee equipment exhibition areas, with the aim of promoting Sino-Italian business cooperation and supporting the localization of Italian brands in China.

During the visit, CCIC engaged with several leading Italian companies. Particular attention was given to Fluid-o-Tech, a global supplier of precision fluid control solutions, where the delegation held in-depth discussions with company representatives, including Diego Andreis, who attended the exhibition from Italy. The exchange focused on distribution strategies and after-sales service development in the Chinese market.

The delegation also visited other prominent Italian coffee equipment brands, including CarimaliLa Marzocco, and Eureka. The tour continued with a visit to Fabbri 1905, a historic Italian company and a benchmark supplier in the global ice cream, coffee, bakery, and dessert industries.

CCIC will continue to play its role as a bridge between Italy and China, supporting Italian brands in their growth journey while fostering bilateral business cooperation and strengthening economic and trade relations between the two countries.
