Rome, 17 July 2026 – The Italian Chamber of Commerce in China (CCIC) continues to strengthen its collaboration with Assocamerestero. In recent days, CCIC President Gianni Di Giovanni met in Rome with Assocamerestero Secretary General Domenico Mauriello to discuss the future of the network of Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad and the role of the CCIC in supporting Italian businesses operating in China.
During the meeting, the President of Assocamerestero, through the Secretary General, extended his congratulations on the renewal of the CCIC's mandate and conveyed his best wishes to the newly appointed Board of Directors.
The discussion provided an important opportunity to address the key challenges and opportunities of the current economic landscape, focusing on four main topics: the evolving public perception in Italy of China and Italian business in the country; the alignment of the Chamber's Statute with ministerial regulations and Assocamerestero's guidelines; the strengthening of the support provided by Assocamerestero's headquarters in Rome to the CCIC's activities; and the impact of the current geopolitical environment on economic relations between China, Italy, and Europe.
The meeting also highlighted the positive work undertaken by the Chamber since the beginning of its new mandate. Secretary General Domenico Mauriello reaffirmed Assocamerestero's full support for the CCIC's activities, emphasizing the importance of an increasingly close collaboration to further support Italian companies operating in the Chinese market.
