Italian Delegation Led by Ambassador Ambrosetti met with Chengdu Mayor, 9.02

On February 9th, a high-level Italian delegation led by H.E. Massimo Ambrosetti, Ambassador of Italy to the P.R.C., visited Chengdu and met with CHEN Shuping, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Chengdu Municipal Committee and Mayor of Chengdu. Also present at the meeting were Chinese participants – ZHAO Jian, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Chengdu Municipal Committee and Vice Mayor of Chengdu, and CHEN Lizhang, Director of the Administrative Committee of Sichuan Tianfu New Area – as well as Italian representatives Fabio Schina, Consul General of Italy in Chongqing, Francesca Celi, Vice Consul of Italy in Chongqing and Massimo Bagnasco, CCIC Vice President in the Southwest, who accompanied the Ambassador to engage in in-depth exchanges with Mayor Chen on advancing pragmatic cooperation between Italy and Chengdu across various fields.

Mayor Chen Shuping briefed the delegation on Chengdu's development, welcomed their visit, and expressed hope for further expanding and deepening bilateral cooperation in economy and trade, science and technology, culture and tourism and other fields to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. Ambassador Ambrosetti spoke highly of Chengdu's development strengths, noted Italy's high attention to cooperation with Chengdu, and looked forward to deeper ties in industrial development, cultural exchanges and other aspects for new breakthroughs in bilateral cooperation.

This meeting has consolidated the foundation for friendly cooperation between Italy and Chengdu, clarified the direction for in-depth cooperation in various fields, and laid a solid foundation for CCIC to play a bridge role in promoting Sino-Italian cooperation in Chengdu.
