From the 7th to the 13th September 2026, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China (CCIC) was proud to endorse the 2026 World Tour – China of the Italian water polo team Pro Recco. The team is the world’s most decorated water polo club, with global visibility across elite competitions, Olympic-level athletes, and over 100 years of legacy.Dating back to 1913 and an unparalleled record that includes 37 Italian Championships and 11 Champions League titles. Originating from the town of Recco in Italy, the club has established itself as a global benchmark for excellence and for the international promotion of water polo.
Sponsored by CCIC Member Fincantieri, this sporting initiative aimed to promote international collaboration and cultural exchange by also giving global visibility to elite competitions.
- On September 9th the CCIC participated in the team reception hosted at the House of Roosevelt in Shanghai, to give a warm welcome and express the support to the national team.
- On September 12th the CCIC has attended the exhibition match between Pro Recco and Shanghai Sea Dragons at the Oriental Sport Center of Shanghai. The event served as a celebration of sportsmanship and athletic excellence across both Italy and China.
The Italian Chamber of Commerce was glad to endorse and attend such initiative, which represented a significant opportunity for international collaboration, elite sport development, and cultural exchange.
