ABOUT GIMAV
Founded in 1980, GIMAV is the Italian Association bringing together manufacturers and suppliers of machinery, accessories, equipment and special products for glass processing. Over the years, the Association has become a key reference point for the Italian glass-processing technology industry, both in Italy and internationally.
GIMAV is a member of Confindustria and Federmacchine and represents a highly significant share of the Italian sector: its member companies account for approximately 80% of total industry turnover and 77% of Italian exports of machinery, accessories and special products for glass processing.
Through institutional representation, internationalisation initiatives, trade-fair participation, market intelligence and networking activities, GIMAV supports Italian companies operating across the flat-glass, hollow-glass and related technology segments.
STRENGTHENING THE ITALY-CHINA CONNECTION
China is a strategic market for the glass industry and a central hub for technological development, industrial innovation and international business. GIMAV has long been active in fostering dialogue between the Italian glass technology industry and Chinese stakeholders.
Most recently, at China Glass 2026 in Shanghai, GIMAV worked closely with ITA – Italian Trade Agency Shanghai to coordinate the Italian Pavilion, which hosted 15 Italian companies and provided a platform for business exchange, institutional relations and international networking.
By joining the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China, GIMAV aims to further strengthen its presence and network in China, build long-term relationships with the Italian and Chinese business communities, and create new opportunities for its member companies to exchange knowledge, understand market developments and develop strategic partnerships.

GIMAV looks forward to actively contributing to the CICC network and to working together with its Members to promote dialogue, innovation and stronger industrial cooperation between Italy and China.
