Vudafieri-Saverino Partners is a Milan-based architecture and design studio founded in 1999 by Tiziano Vudafieri and Claudio Saverino. Tiziano Vudafieri began his career with Ettore Sottsass and Aldo Cibic, leading residential and retail projects across Europe and the United States; Claudio Saverino trained in visual communication and worked in product design for De Padova, Cassina and ICF before moving into architecture. Together, the two partners design places for leisure, living and work — hospitality, residential, retail and cultural spaces — built around concept design, brand identity and storytelling.
The studio's ties to China date back to its founding year. In 1999, drawn by the momentum of a rapidly changing Shanghai, Vudafieri-Saverino Partners completed the Wall Street English Institute inside the Jin Mao Tower, then the tallest building in the world. This early project marked the start of a long-term commitment to the Chinese market, formalised in 2012 with the opening of Vudafieri-Saverino Partners Shanghai, now led by Managing Director Sebastiano Cattiodoro.
Today the studio operates from two offices, Milan and Shanghai, with a combined team of around twenty-five people — roughly fifteen in Milan and ten in Shanghai — serving local and international clients.Since the early 2000s, Vudafieri-Saverino Partners has developed concept and store design for major fashion and luxury brands, including Delvaux, Curiel, Emilio Pucci, Givenchy, Kenzo, Tod's and RogerVivier, alongside a broad portfolio of hospitality, residential and cultural projects across Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
The studio's work has been recognised internationally. The Lasserhaus arthotel has been shortlisted fot the 2024 Prix Versailles as "best hotel in the world". In 2019, Fondazione Italia Cina awarded Vudafieri-Saverino Partners at the China Awards in the Capital Elite category, for its interior design concepts in retail, residential, office and school projects; the same year, the studio was listed among AD100 China's 100 most influential architects and designers.
With a design office in Shanghai since 2012, Vudafieri-Saverino Partners is now a member of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China (CCIC), joining its community of Italian companies active in the Chinese market.
