Made in China 2025 Unveiled, March 24th Beijing_Post Event

Dear Members and Friends of CICC,

On March 24th, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with In3Act and with the support of the Embassy of Italy and the Italian Trade Agency, organized the presentation of "Made in China 2025 Unveiled". The event was held in the Italian Institute of Culture from 3 pm to 5 pm and saw the participation of more than 50 people. The moderator was Roberto Donà, professor at International Business School Suzhou (Xi'an Jiaotong Liverpool University) and Codirector International Technology Transfer Center.

After the opening remarks by H.E. Ambassador of Italy Ettore F. Sequi, the CICC Chairman Sergio Bertasi and Director of the Italian Trade Agency Amedeo Scarpa, the event was divided in four presentations:

Plinio Innocenzi, Attaché for Science of the Embassy of Italy: introduction of the new number of Mondo Cinese;

Guido Giacconi, Co-founder and Chairman of In3Act: Made in China 2025 Unveiled: China breakthrough industrial strategy for the next decades – Impact on the world economy, opportunities and threats for Italian industries (full PPT presentation available here);

Plinio Innocenzi, Attaché for Science of the Embassy of Italy: Made in China 2025 and the challenges of robotics;

Michele Geraci, Head of China, Global Policy Institute, responsible of the China Economic Policy Research Program at Nottingham University at Ningbo and adjunct professor of finance at NYU-Shanghai: China changes its attitude towards the service industry and launches a new windmill: Manufacturing 2025.

An interesting Q&A session moderated by Roberto Donà followed the end of the seminar, showing the great interest of the audience on the topic.
