Dear Members and Friends, The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is pleased to announce that, on April 30th, 2021, the event "Italian Olive Oil Masterclass" will be held in Chongqing at Citadines Gaoke Liangjiang Chongqing (Block A, Building 1, Fortune Park, No.9 Fortune Avenue, Yubei District Chongqing), 30 minutes after the conclusion of the CICC Members' Meeting: Southwest of China.     The Masterclass is organized within the framework of the project "True Italian Taste", promoted and financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy and carried out by Assocamerestero in collaboration with the Italian Chambers of Commerce abroad to enhance and safeguard the authentic Italian food product. Dear Members and Friends,   The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is glad to invite you to a Networking Event that will be held on the 27th of December in Kunming, Yunnan Province. In addition to drinks and Italian food, the event presents a networking opportunity, both to the Italian and the Chinese community, to celebrate the waterfalls twinning, promote tourism and business, establishing new sino-italian connections. The President of CICC Paolo Bazzoni and CFO of CICC Lorenzo Riccardi will join the event in Kunming.     The event celebrates the signature of the Serio-Jiulong Waterfalls Twinning promoting tourism, culture and economic relations between China and Italy. The event is organized with the patronage of the Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing, the People's Government of Luoping County, In Lombardia, Regione Lombardia, Visit Bergamo, Turismo Valbondione and Valbondione Municipality.   You can find more information about the two Waterfall below.   The Serio Falls are a natural hidden gem located in Lombardy a northern region of Italy, specifically in the county of Valbondione which is in the province of Bergamo. Lombardy in its position in the heart of Europe, stands out for its natural conformations with lakes, hills, mountains and plains along with beautiful cities of art such as Milan, Bergamo, Mantua, Brescia and Pavia. The Serio Falls are the tallest waterfalls in Italy, reaching a height of 315 meters, and are the second largest in Europe. They are surrounded by pristine natural woodlands and grasslands creating an outstanding landscape. The waterfalls beauty and the trekking experiences available in the surrounding area make the Serio Falls a must-visit for tourists interested in unspoiled natural retreats.   The Jiulong Falls are a breathtaking touristic spot located in Yunnan province, in the Southwest of the People’s Republic of China, in the county of Luoping, near the city of Qujing. Yunnan province is characterized by the greatest variety of plant biodiversity in China and it is one of the most ethnically diverse provinces, with several ethnic minorities represented in its inhabitants.  The Jiulong Falls are a beautiful example of cascade waterfalls, with a total of 9 falls, which are surrounded by a valley full of lush and vibrant trees. In order to promote the knowledge and the awareness of the importance of Italian mechanical engineering to different cities in China, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) align with CICC Manufacturing Engineering Working Group (MEWG), and with the support from the Embassy of Italy in China, the Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing, Chongqing Liangjiang New Area Administrative Committee, Chongqing Liangjiang New Area Invitation Investment Group and Bank of China (Chongqing Branch), the event of " the 1st Week of Italian Mechanical Engineering (WIMEC) Roadshow in Chongqing " will be organized. Why organize a Week of Italian Mechanical Engineering in China? Italy is the second largest manufacturing country in Europe, 100 billion euro's Worth and ranking seventh in the world. The production system of Italy consists of 4.6 million companies； The export of the entire sector is in fact equal to over 49% of the Italian export, both worldwide and to China, (11.8% of the fashion industry and 9% of the food industry), which are the sectors usually identified as the excellence of Made in Italy； China ranks eighth among the target markets for Italian exports in this sector, but in some categories such as machine tools, China is the third largest export market after the United States and Germany； Italy therefore stands as the supplier of technologies and machinery of the main industrial powers in the world； Italy's mechanical industry is closely linked to China. 50% of Italy's total exports to China is made of mechanical and engineering technology, compared to 3.7% of the agri-food industry and 18% of the fashion industry. In the mechanical engineering sector, the main category is machinery, which represents 56% of total Italian exports of around 4 billion euros.
