The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) and its Food & Beverage Working Group (F&B WG) are delighted to invite you to our upcoming webinar “The evolution of Nebbiolo in the Chinese market, discovering the KING of Italian grapes” scheduled on April 10th, online via Zoom at 16:30 pm (Beijing time).

 

The focus of this webinar is on one of Italian BEST grape variety, the Nebbiolo, and especially the Barolo, the most iconic wine from Piedmont region. During the webinar, we will analyze the market situation of Italian Wines in general, understanding the best strategy to promote and then increase the knowledge and then General sales on Italian local varieties.

Simone Semprini - VM Fine Wines Shanghai Area Manager

Simone started his career at a young age following the steps of Great Italian wine professionals. He decided to move to Shanghai and London in order to have the chance to improve his skills and knowledge. After been working for more than 20 years in high profile Michelin Starred Restaurants in Italy and UK, in 2010 Simone he received the “Oscar as Best Sommelier” from the Bibenda International Wine Trophy 2010 . Certified Professional Wine Taster from the Italian Sommelier Association. His dream is to be able to demonstrate Italy as the wine Capital, offering the most sensational indigenous grape variety selection in the world!

 

Roberto Candido Mormile founder of LUNANERA winery association

Roberto Candido Mormile better known as Peter, is the founder of LUNANERA winery association. In 2009 I graduated with honors from the Faculty of Law of the University of Naples Federico II. In 2014, I came to China for the first time to attend a wine exhibition, and I met my wife who worked as an interpreter for me. In March 2015 I came to live in China. At the end of 2015, we jointly established the Kanglai Import Company in Shanghai. I founded the Lunanera Italian Winery Association in March 2018, it manages to bring around 50 containers of Italian wine per year to China.

 

Paolo Clemente, Wine Senior Export Manager

Senior manager with 30+ years commercial experience in International markets. After years spent in consumer goods and industrial products, since 2012 I’m in the wine sector. I work as a multi-brand Export Manager for renowned, medium-high positioning, Italian wineries, mainly in the Asian markets. I manage for them every commercial aspect: search for importers, brand positioning, marketing and sales support activities. I work only on a long term strategy, for a limited number of wineries. My business model is an advantage for both wineries and clients, which take advantage of my network and save costs.

 

Matteo Ascheri, President of the Consortium for the protection Barolo, Barbaresco, Alba, Langhe and Dogliani

Matteo Ascheri is the President of the Consortium since 2019 and producer of Barolo (Ascheri winery) located in Bra.

 

 

Moderator

Cristiano Bernardi has been living in China since 2002, more than 22 years. He is Founder and CEO of F5, a company involved in the promotion of Italian Lifestyle with focus on Wine and Food. Sommelier AIS since 2017, he has got a deep knowledge of Food and Beverage market in China. Since December 2023, he is the National Coordinator of the Food&Beverage Working Group of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce.
