CALL FOR TENDERS - "Shanghai China-Italy Week", 5-11th June 2021

Dear Members and Friends, 

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is organizing the “Shanghai China-Italy Week”, that will be held from June 5th till June 11th, in Shanghai Lujiazui Harbour City Exhibition Centre, Pudong

The Italian Week will bring the best of ITALIAN QUALITY to Shanghai. It aims to offer to a Chinese and international audience an all-Italian experience, a journey through the excellence for which Italy enjoys a world record.

Participants will have a full immersion in the Italian culture of quality without ever needing to leave China. 

Sectors involved: Design, Wellness, F&B, Fashion, Music, Tourism, Sport,  Arts.

 

About the venue

Shanghai Lujiazui Harbour City Exhibition Centre, Pudong.

The Shanghai Lujiazui HARBOUR CITY Exhibition Centre is located on the northern and most recent development of Shanghai Pudong, along the Huangpu River, one of the most photographed waterfronts in the world. The project site, occupying the former ‘Shanghai Shipyard’, has a long history in the shipbuilding industry. The new exhibition center is positioned on the ramp of a former ship cradle and provides a concentrated event space within the surrounding financial district. Why the Shanghai China-Italy Week?


Because it combines the best of Italian and Chinese culture and art. Moreover, during the Shanghai China-Italy Week, it is also possible to witness the opening of the Simon Ma exhibition: Drago Cavallo, which represents a bridge between the Chinese and the Italian Culture. Simon Ma is an Hong Kong-born, Shanghai-based artist and designer.
WHEN: Opening on Friday 5, Activities over the weekend + whole week.

 

How to get involved?

Help us promoting the Italian Gastronomic Excellencies. Italian Week is an enriching experience, where participants will understand the uniqueness and value of Italian DPO and PGI products. 

CICC is looking for different food importers & restaurants that can provide the following services:

  • 1. Italian Market and popup stores, 5-6 June:                                                                                              
  1. Visitors can buy and eat different Italian dishes, Gelato, sandwiches on the spot. The idea is to create an Alimentari style food court.
  2. A building, overlooking the artistic street, will be entirely dedicated to pop-up stores of representative brands of the Italian lifestyle.

Booth Price: 

3000 RMB – CICC Members

4000 RMB – Non Members 

 

  • 2. Workshops about F&B Italian Gastronomic Excellences / Cooking Classes (Tiramisu, Pizza…)
  1. Italian Chef with extensive experience in the field related to the Italian Cuisine, possibly with previous experience in hosting a Live Cooking Show, able to introduce the recipes, the Italian food culture, and the background of the Italian dishes in front of the public;
  2. Food suppliers.

 

  • 3.  Masterclass about Italian products (Prosecco, Beer, Wine)
  1. Experts in the field related to high quality of some Italian products.

 

CICC is also looking for different companies that can provide the following services:

  • 4. Workshops and activities about the Promotion of Made in Italy (Art and Design, Sport, Tourism, Culture, Fashion, Kids’ Area with various activities).

Sponsor an event within the Italian Week and align your brand with a specific experience of the Italian Week.

Your brand logo will be printed on all the materials for this specific event and gain larger exposure.

 

  • Organize an event in the China-Italy Week line-up

An excellent opportunity to expand or advertise your business to a wider audience. Please read the terms & conditions to have your event featured in the Festival line-up. 

The event must fall in June 2021 (5-11). The event must have a strong Italian flair (promoting Italian lifestyle, culture, Sport, Tourism). The event must not be a purely commercial event (i.e. promoting a single product) and must be representative of the Italian Culture of Quality. 

 

  • Sponsor - Media Coverage (PR, media press, KOLs);
  • Sponsor - Photography and video shooting services.

 

APPLICATION PROCESS

  • Send an email, including your company's presentation and your CV if you are a Chef, specifying how you would like to get involved, to infoshanghai@cameraitacina.com within May 9th , 2021.
  • If you want to organize an event, you should provide the following information: event name, time, location, ticket price (if any), contact info for RSVP (CICC can eventually manage the rsvp), English description of the event (min 70 words, max 100 words), at least 2 high-res images, logo of the company promoting (.AI, .PNG or .PDF format). Events with “TBC” information will not be accepted.
  • CICC will contact you regarding the details of the event.
  • After evaluating the quotation, CICC will give you a feedback regarding the result.

 

PARTICIPATION TERMS

  • Participation in tendering is open to CICC Members and non-Members.
  • Companies competing in the tender must have the necessary knowledge and experience and have the technical support and personnel capable to run the tender.
  • Each company can submit only one tender.
  • The tender is to be drafted in Italian or English, filled in and signed.
  • It is the responsibility of the tenderer to study the specification and requirements before submitting the tender.

 

EVALUATION CRITERIA

  • The selection of the supplier will be made according to the event's requirements and the lowest bidding price received.
  • If the bidding price is the same or the service/goods supplied are free of charge, CICC will give priority to its Members and it will select the first submitted bid meeting the standards required.
  • If no applications are submitted by the Members of the Chamber, the Chamber has the right to select the most appropriate application submitted by one of the non-Member companies.

 

EXCLUSION FROM TENDER

  • In case of not meeting the conditions of the tendering process.
  • In case of non-conformity with the hereby open call for tender.
  • In case of submitting false data.
  • Late submission.
  • The results about the tendering shall be announced by email after proper evaluation.
