Italy back at CIIF with an Italian Pavilion! Sep 26-30, Shanghai

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is glad to invite you to visit the Italian Pavilion at the China International Industry Fair (CIIF) 2022.

The fair will be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai from September 26th-30th with 9 theme shows and over 2,600 exhibitors.

Launched for the first time in 1999, the CIIF is a leading fair for high-end, smart and green manufacturing in China and an important platform for international trade, communication, and cooperation.

After the success of the 2020 edition, and a hiatus because of COVID in 2021, this year Italy returns to the CIIF 2022 with an Italian Pavilion of 1,300 square meters and almost 50 companies, which will showcase their innovative and advanced technologies and their new products to the Chinese public. The Italian Pavilion is organized by ITA - Italian Trade Agency and the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, with the support of the Embassy of Italy to the P.R.C. and the Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai.

To support the Italian presence, a series of events – including a forum about innovation with B2B matchmaking organized by the Shanghai Municipality to foster cooperation and working opportunities between European and Chinese SMEs, promotional activities and seminars, as well as ad hoc company presentations – will be organized.

Second Week of Italian Mechanical Engineering in China (WIMEC)

The Second Week of Italian Mechanical Engineering in China (WIMEC) will kick off again this year in conjunction with the CIIF 2022. Its main objective is to promote the understanding of "Made in Italy", in particular of Italian mechanical engineering, by the Chinese public, and to spread the technological image and the leading role of Italy in the sector.

As a world leader in the mechanical engineering sector, Italy is a supplier of technology and machines to the world's major industrial powers. 50% of Italy's total exports to China come from mechanical and engineering technology. In recent years, the Italian manufacturing industry has shown a higher level of quality and innovation, which has benefited many end users around the world, including Chinese customers.
