Logistics Talk Series: "Pirates of Suez", March 15th

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, together with its Logistics Working Group (LWG), is glad to invite you to the webinar part of the Logistics Talk Series, namely: ‘Pirates of Suez’ and the Impacts on the Mediterranean Supply Chain, which will be held via Zoom on 15th March 2024.

The main topic of this session will concern the Suez Canal, which is crucial for the connection between Asia and Europe and represents a strategic passage. The Houthi attacks on the containers that were navigating by the Suez Canal have greatly influenced the freight routes towards EMEA and the United States. Moreover, the container tariffs overgrew during the Chinese New Year and, to avoid dangerous situations and damage to the ships, transit times were prolonged due to a deviation through the Cape of Good Hope.

The Logistics Working Group will offer an internal overview focusing on  the  impact of the current tensions on the Mediterranean supply chain and logistics.
