During this seminar, Guangzhou based lawyer Caroline Berube will give a practical overview of recent changes in tax law and labour law in China. The following will be discussed along with practical examples: 1. Social insurance law: new obligations for companies and foreign employees; 2. Employment of foreign employees: new challenges and strategy for companies in China; 3. Income tax law: new rules for both Chinese and foreign employees; 4. VAT reform: Shanghai pilot reform in force from January 1st,2012.
