Racconti dalla cantina – Tales from the wine cellar, fourth appointment

China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, and La Favola Italian Restaurant are proud to announce a culinary event, Racconti dalla cantina - Tales from the wine cellar, fourth appointment.

This new event consists of an enogastrocultural dinner hold at Favola Italian Restaurant at the Le Meridien Hotel, addressed to the Italian culture lovers.
Intended to be a monthly happening showcasing the best delicacies from different regions in Italy, Racconti della Cantina fourth appointment is on November 28th, highlighting Piedmont Region`s specialties.

Guests will de delighted by the striking combination of wine and food of Piedmont, exquisitely accompanied by reading of antique tales from the Region, to achieve a perfect blending of Italian flavors and culture. To be noted, the famous Italian oenologist Giorgio Pelissero, will share with the guests some special vintage wines, from his own cellar.

The dinner will be composed of five courses, paired by fine wines, and home made dessert.
The participation cost is RMB 680/net per person.
All CICC Members confirming their reservation by November 26th will be granted a 10% discount on the net rate.

7:00 pm - Event opening and introduction by Mr Ermanno Lelli, Restaurant Manager and Organizer

 

7:30 pm - Appetizers and 1st wine
Crema di fontina con tartufo nero e crostini di pane dorati
Melted fontina cheese with truffle, served with bread croutons
- Introduction to the first served wine, and meal

 

8:00 pm - Pasta courses and 2nd wine

Caramelle di pasta alla zucca e amaretti con burro, salvia e parmigiano

Stuffed past with pumpkin and amaretti cookies, butter, sage and parmesan cheese
- Introduction to the second served wine, and meal

 

8:30 pm - Seafood and 3rd wine

Cartoccio di persico alla piemontese

Perch fish in papillotte "Piedmont style"
- Introduction to the third served wine, and meal

 

9:00 pm - meats and 4th wine

Brasato di manzo al barolo con purea di patate

Beef stew with Barolo wine, mashed potatoes
- Introduction to the fourth served wine, and meal

 

10:00 pm - Dessert and after-dinner

Il bounet piemontese

Chocolate custard with amaretti cookies
