Asia-Europe Leaders’ Cooperation Dialogue Chongqing - China, December 1-2 2019

01 Dicembre 2019

Dear Members and Friends,

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce is glad to share this event co-organized by our Member Ambrosetti together with Boao Forum For Asia.

"European and Asian leaders cannot stand idly but have to actively build a prosperous future through dialogue and cooperation, rather than passively endure a future of conflict and isolation"

The Dialogue is the reference event to deepen and establish high-level level relations with Asian leaders. This second edition happens at a pivotal moment in time in which the overall world geo-economic barycenter is shifting towards East, while the major economic blocks are suffering increasing disaggregation pressure. The United States isolationist turn on trade is widening both the Atlantic and the Pacific oceans, especially by increasing tensions with China, whose retaliatory measures may contribute generating a ripple effect across the globe.

The Asia-Europe CEO Dialogue will bring to Chongqing over 300 Asian and European business leaders, multilateral institutions and representatives of country governments and institutions for an intense full day program (December 2nd) which will focus on strategic topics for ensuring prosperity in the next decades:

• Belt and Road Initiative and European Development Strategy
• Asia-Europe Trade and Financial Cooperation
• Sustainable development
• Smart cities & intelligent manufacturing

Participation in the Dialogue is strictly C-level and upon invitation only.

Why it is relevant for you?

After the success of the first edition in Rome, the Dialogue will provide a unique chance to identify and grab emerging opportunities with the other protagonists of these shifts. At the center of these transformations stands Chongqing, the industrial powerhouse of west China and a strategic stronghold of the Belt and Road.
